I replaced the clutch disk and pressure plate as well as the bushing-i know i should probably having replaced throwout bearing too, but is is good n tight. I recently purchased two Allis Chalmers 170 diesels and have a few questions. First off, what oil do I use to service? The manual just says SAE-10W, but haven't had any luck finding just 10w without a 30 or 40 after it.Sounds like a case of flex ring deterioration in the injection pump. You could try removing the return fitting on the top of the pump and see if it will run. If so than that will verify this problem. There is a glass ball in that fitting and it will plug with flex ring particles and kill the tractor instantly.The Allis gets a Murry deck (B&S bought them out), so you will not get the cut and look that the Simplicity is famous for. I have the AC-130 w/42" deck. The cut is acceptable and the deck shell is solid. The spindles have grease fittings. In my opinion you are getting a good lawn tractor for $2,000.00.The impulse is only going to snap till about 400 rpm. Over 400 rpm or so, the impulse pawls will retract and the engine will run. To inspect the impulse, you'll need a puller to pull off the coupler assy. If the spring in the coupler is rusted, it'll probably need a good cleaning if its not working correctly.Report Post. I have the big pump that bolts to the engine but not the two smaller pumps that bolts to it. (3 piece pump originally). I have had no luck finding a used original pump and was thinking of using a different setup.As per the Service Manual on a 7060, the turbo can heat the air up to 350 to 400 degrees at 15 psi boost pressure. The intercooler core tries to bring that temp down by passing 180 degree coolant thru it. Tractor pullers use ice water and hope to bring air temps down to 40 degrees intake air at the intake valves.A C never had a voltage regulator. It had a cut out relay, which is about 1/3 the size of most regulators. The 3 way light switch charged at low charge pushed in, by using a resistor in the switch. If you wanted a higher charge rate, you pull the switch out. It could be either the coil or condenser shorting after things heat up. Same thing applies to the fuel supply. as quick as possible after it stops running try draining fuel from the carb. A rebuilt carb should work fine but try removing the fuel filter.Your D grader was built in 1952 and the engine in her was built in 1951. And FL is forklift, I would imagine.
