On the initial loading (Pulling slide back and letting it fall) the Hydra Shock hits the feeding ramp and jams up. I have to take my hand and "bump" the back of the slide to get it to feed. Per Taurus, there's a break in period of 250 to 500 rounds for it.My GC3 tends to not be quite as reliable as I would want with an open nosed JHP so I use Hornady Critical Defense in it. Works great. Through trial and error, I found that changing the barrel was the only effective solution. I ensured the gun was clear, removed the slide, removed the firing pin and barrel, and then inserted a new one. After reassembling, I tested the firearm, and the chamber failure issue was resolved.After now putting about 250-300 through it of ball ammo it is way more reliable now with the hollow points BUT even better with Hornady Critical Defense (due to the nose design).
